Where applicable, security officers will only be allowed to be in possession of a licensed firearm which is owned by The Peaceforce Security Group.
According to PSIRA, a Grade D Security officer may carry a firearm however, Peaceforce will only permit a Grade C or higher ranked officer to be in possession of a firearm.
These officers are required to write examinations prior to their firearm training. Firearm refresher courses are compulsory either bi-annually or quarterly subject to the site specifications.
